I have created a wonderful new salve that I am very excited to share with you all! I formulated it for use on rashes, small cuts, blemishes. I tried it on my dry feet, just to see how well it’d work, and it works really great! Upon discovering this, I almost like this one better than the bug barrier! lol
It’s got a good bit of mango butter (I’ve read this ingredient can act as a sunscreen), herbed olive oil (chickweed, burdock, sandalwood), and a little candelilla wax. It has a faint, nutty smell and not everyone smells that. It’s also creamy yellow in color. As soon as you apply it, your skin absorbs it’s wonderful qualities and it doesn’t stay greasy feeling at all.

Glad you’re here! Herbs have interested me for awhile and it’s time I created some things with them. This will allow me to fully appreciate what they have to offer and hopefully you will too!
The first thing I’ve put together is a bug repellent. Here in Louisiana, there are mosquitoes everywhere! Friends came to visit and it was hard to appreciate the outdoors after dusk because the bugs would come out. The smell, feel, and harm that other products out there weren’t appealing at all, nor were they anything I had in mind to use. So began the quest!
I took to researching the herbs again, looking for something that would help us enjoy the outdoors more. What I came up with is a salve that, when properly applied, keeps off bugs, has virtually no smell, and doesn’t give a greasy feel.
We’ve been using it at home, sharing it with friends that come by, and are finding it does a reasonable job of keeping the bugs away. We have to make sure we apply it on every speck of us that is bare, otherwise, the bugs find the bare spots!
This salve is made with olive oil, candelilla wax, herbs, and vanilla. It’s very thick and a little goes a long way. If you find yourself allergic to it, please discontinue use and maybe pass it along to someone else.
